Pimples On Chest

How to Get Rid of Pimples on Your Chest

Having pimples on your chest can be irritating and embarrassing all at the same time.  You may have tried to get rid of them in the past and had very little success.  This article is going to give you a few ideas and things to consider when you are attempting to clear up this unsightly problem.  But, keep in mind that popping them, and trying to get rid of them that way, is only going to cause them to spread and make things worse in the long run.  If that has been your plan in the past, you need to stop because you are making it worse.

First of all, in order to get rid of pimples on your chest, you will want to wash the chest area everyday with an anti-bacterial soap.  Use something that has SD alcohol 40 in it for the best results.  This is going to help the most.  Be sure to use some type of loofah sponge while you are cleaning this area.  That is going to help get rid of any dead skin cells that have built up on that area.  You will want to wash gently rather than scrubbing the area really hard.  Being rough with that area is only going to irritate the skin and make the area swollen.

You may have noticed that the pimples on your chest appear worse when you are wearing tight clothing.  This is because your skin is not able to breath and you are sweating underneath of your shirt.   You will want to be sure that you are wearing clothing that fits properly and allows air to flow through.  Cotton is a good fabric to wear so that your skin can get the air that it needs.

Purchasing skin and body lotions that are designed specifically for acne would be another great tip to follow.  You can try different types of masks and creams that sit on the skin for a designated length of time before they are removed.  This is going to give the medication time to work and help clear up the pimples on your chest.  Be sure to read all of the instructions to determine what areas of the body the product is intended for.  This is very important because chest pimples are different from the acne you find on your face.  That is because the pores are different on that area of the body.  This type of acne is going to need to be treated differently than facial acne.  Do not apply creams and lotions to the area once it has been cleaned.  You will also want to keep bed sheets and linens clean at all times.  This is going to keep the acne from spreading to other parts of your body.  This is something that is very simple to keep in mind but it is often forgotten about when fighting acne complications.

When fighting pimples on your chest, you may become very frustrated if you do not see fast results.  It is very important to remember that it can take almost six weeks or more to determine if the treatment you are using is actually working.  You need to be patient and wait it out to see if any results are going to be noticed.  If you have waited a long time and you are not getting positive results, you may want to consult your doctor or a dermatologist for help.  He or she may be able to give you a prescribed medication that can help you get rid of the pimples on your chest.  However, these things may be expensive so you will want to try other options first if you can.
